Detailed Introduction
Streambert is a cross-platform Electron desktop application that lets you stream and download movies, TV series, and anime from around the world with zero ads or tracking. It aggregates video streams from sources like VidSrc, videasy.net, and 2Embed, and fetches metadata from TMDB and AniList. Unlike Stremio or Popcorn Time, Streambert offers a built-in downloader that directly saves .m3u8 or .mp4 files for offline viewing, along with full subtitle management. The interface is highly customizable, with a library to track watched content and trending recommendations. Privacy-focused and ad-free, it requires a free TMDB API key for first-time setup. Supports Windows, Linux (deb/AppImage/pacman), and source builds via npm. Perfect for users who want a unified streaming + downloading experience without browser limitations.
