Privacy Policy
We respect and protect every user's privacy
Overview
OpenSource-Hub ("the Site") takes user privacy seriously. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information. Using the Site means you agree to these terms.
Data Storage & Global Transmission
The Site runs on Cloudflare's global edge network, with core data stored in Cloudflare D1 (globally distributed SQLite) and Cloudflare KV (key-value storage).
When you visit, your request is processed by the nearest Cloudflare edge node, which may be outside your country. Cloudflare holds ISO 27001, SOC 2 and other international security certifications.
We only store personal information when you voluntarily submit an email address with a software recommendation or feature request. This data is stored in D1 and transmitted over HTTPS.
AI & Automated Processing
The Site uses AI technologies (including DeepSeek LLM and Cloudflare Workers AI translation) to automate:
- Open source metadata: automated summarization, classification and translation of GitHub public README files and documentation into user-friendly guides.
- Search intent: vector embeddings (Cloudflare Vectorize) convert your search terms into semantic vectors for better matching.
All AI processing targets only public open source metadata (project names, READMEs, star counts). It does NOT involve your personal identity. Your search terms are used only for the current session and are never used for AI model training.
Information We Collect
- Browsing data: anonymized access logs for security and traffic analysis.
- Search records: stored in anonymous aggregate form to optimize search.
- Download behavior: anonymized click data to understand software trends.
- User submissions: email and description you provide when recommending software.
Cookies & Tracking
The Site uses cookies and LocalStorage for basic functionality:

We use collected information to: provide and improve services, analyze anonymous trends, respond to feedback, and maintain security.
We do NOT sell, trade or transfer your personal information to third parties. Sharing only occurs when legally required or to protect legitimate interests.
