A free, self-hosted web app for PDF signing, page editing, metadata modification, and compression.

Core Features

  • PDF signing with hand-drawn signature or digital certificates
  • Page organization: merge, split, rotate, delete, extract
  • Metadata editing: title, author, subject, keywords
  • PDF compression to reduce file size
  • Multi-signature mode with optional encryption

What It Can't Do

  • Multi-signature mode requires a writable storage path and stores PDFs on server; enable encryption for sensitive files. Digital signatures need extra setup (poppler-utils, NSS certificates). Using public instances may expose your documents, avoid uploading confidential data.

Use Cases

  • Sign contracts and agreements online without printing
  • Organize scanned documents into a single PDF with proper order
  • Edit metadata for archiving or publishing compliance
  • Compress large PDFs for email attachments

Signature PDF is a self-hosted web application that allows you to sign PDFs (alone or with others), organize pages (merge, split, rotate, delete, extract), edit metadata (title, author, etc.), and compress files. It runs entirely in your browser with no installation required for end users, and supports both hand-drawn signatures and digital certificates. Multi-signature mode requires server-side storage but can optionally encrypt PDFs. The software is AGPLv3 licensed and can be deployed via Docker, Debian/Ubuntu, or Alpine Linux. Multiple public instances are available for free use. It uses libraries like PDF.js, Fabric.js, and PDFtk for robust PDF handling.
