Converts PS5 games into native PC programs—no emulator required.

Core Features

  • Automatically converts PS5 executables into native Windows/Linux programs
  • Static relinking approach—no emulator or background runtime process
  • Web converter processes files locally; nothing is uploaded
  • Built-in shader recompiler producing validated SPIR-V
  • SDL gamepad support plus configurable keyboard/mouse mapping

What It Can't Do

  • •This is early-stage software: many system functions are still unimplemented, so most games won't run to completion or may not boot at all. It is not a plug-and-play emulator—unsupported features cause immediate errors and termination. You must supply your own legally obtained game files; the project ships no games, firmware, or keys. Results vary per title, so check the community compatibility map before trying a game.

Use Cases

  • Running PS5 games you legally own on a Windows or Linux PC
  • Game preservation and console compatibility research
  • Studying console binary formats and static translation techniques

AnyPS5 is an open-source tool that automatically ports PS5 game executables to Linux and Windows. Instead of emulating the console, it statically relinks binaries into the target system's native format and ships clean-room implementations of PS5 system libraries for dynamic linking, so converted games run as ordinary native programs with no separate runtime process. Its key advantages over emulator-based projects such as shadPS4 are performance headroom from ahead-of-time translation and a privacy-friendly web converter where files never leave your device. A shader recompiler translates GPU code to validated SPIR-V, SDL-mapped controllers and customizable keyboard/mouse input are supported, and the relinker-only build also runs on macOS including Apple Silicon. The project is still in active development: system library coverage is growing, per-game compatibility is tracked on a community blocker map, and unsupported states fail loudly with clear error messages. It ships no copyrighted firmware, keys, or proprietary code—users must supply legally obtained game binaries. Licensed under GPL-2.0.
