mise

One CLI to manage dev tools, environment variables, and tasks—clear and fast without shims.

mise is a single CLI that manages dev tools, environment variables, and project tasks through a mise.toml file. Unlike asdf, it runs tools directly without shims; unlike direnv, it also handles tool versions and tasks. Simple, fast, and team-friendly.

Remove the mise binary (generally ~/.local/bin/mise), delete the activation line you added to your shell config, and optionally delete data/config directories (~/.local/share/mise, ~/.config/mise) to fully clean up.
