Universal Android Debloater Next Generation (UAD-ng) is a detached fork of the original UAD project, rebuilt in Rust for better performance and cross-platform compatibility. It connects to your Android device via ADB and allows you to safely remove pre-installed system apps that are tracking you, draining battery, or slowing down your phone. Unlike mobile-only solutions (e.g., Canta which uses Shizuku), UAD-ng works on any desktop OS (Windows, macOS, Linux) and gives you a clear list of packages categorized by risk level. It does not require root and can significantly reduce the attack surface of your device. The project is community-driven with frequent updates to the debloat list, and its privacy-focused design means zero telemetry — only GitHub requests for package updates.
