sie
SHA-256Open-source inference server that serves every model your AI agents need—embeddings, rerankers, OCR, structured extraction, guardrails, and LLMs—behind one OpenAI-compatible API. Unlike Ollama or vLLM, it runs 100+ task-specific models in a single self-hosted cluster.

One self-hosted cluster serving every model your AI agents need—search, OCR, extraction, guardrails, and LLMs—through a single OpenAI-compatible API.
Core Features
- OpenAI-compatible endpoints for drop-in migration: /v1/embeddings, /v1/chat/completions, /v1/completions, /v1/responses
- Pre-configured catalog of 100+ models spanning embeddings, rerankers, OCR, NER, classification, safety, translation, vision, and speech
- On-demand model loading with LRU eviction keeps many models serving on limited GPU memory
- Production-ready Kubernetes and Helm charts with KEDA autoscaling and Grafana dashboards
- First-class integrations with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Haystack, DSPy, CrewAI, and major vector databases
What It Can't Do
- •Native installs require Python 3.12. An NVIDIA GPU is strongly recommended for production; CPU inference is slow for large models. The first call to each model downloads its weights, so expect long initial latency. Some models such as LightOnOCR-3, GLiNER2.5-Decide, and TopK-Embed-V1 only ship in specific Docker bundles (transformers5 or sglang-vision-extract), not the default image. SIE is fully self-hosted: this repo includes no managed cloud tier, so you own cluster operations and GPU costs. It is not a good fit if you want a zero-ops hosted API.
Use Cases
- Replacing a patchwork of per-task model servers with one private inference cluster
- Building self-hosted RAG pipelines with embedding, reranking, and document-to-markdown models
- Running compliance-sensitive agent workloads inside your own cloud instead of third-party APIs
SIE (Superlinked Inference Engine) is an Apache-2.0 inference server and production cluster that unifies all the models an AI agent calls behind a single OpenAI-compatible API: search embeddings and reranking, PDF-to-markdown OCR, schema-valid structured extraction, zero-shot classification, content safety, translation, vision, speech transcription, and the agent LLM loop itself. Its pre-configured catalog ships 100+ models with on-demand loading and LRU eviction, so many models efficiently share one GPU fleet. Compared with Ollama or vLLM, which mainly serve LLM text generation, SIE covers the full agent task stack out of the box; and unlike managed inference APIs, all data stays inside your own cloud. It ships Kubernetes and Helm charts with KEDA autoscaling and Grafana dashboards, plus Python and TypeScript SDKs, and integrates with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Haystack, DSPy, CrewAI, and major vector databases.
