An open-source AI coworker that remembers your work context and helps you act on it.
Core Features
- Connects to Gmail, Google Calendar, and meeting notes to build a persistent knowledge graph
- Generates PDF slides, meeting briefs, email drafts, and other outputs from the graph
- Prepares for meetings by surfacing past decisions, open questions, and relevant threads
- Live notes: automatically track people, companies, or topics across web and communications
- Voice memo recording with automatic key takeaway extraction into the graph
What It Can't Do
- •Requires a Google account for Gmail, Calendar, and Drive integrations; without them the knowledge graph won't populate.
- •Some features (voice input/output, web search, external tools) require additional API keys that you must obtain and configure.
- •Although data is stored locally, connecting email/calendar still requires network access and passes through Google's services.
- •Initial knowledge graph building may take time depending on the volume of emails and meeting notes.
- •Non-English language support may be limited; English is recommended for best results.
Use Cases
- Meeting prep: pull context from past emails and notes into a crisp brief
- Productivity: generate a quarterly roadmap deck or track a competitor's moves automatically
Detailed Introduction
Rowboat is a local-first AI coworker that connects to your email and meeting notes, builds a persistent knowledge graph, and uses that context to help you get work done—privately, on your machine. It can generate PDF slides for quarterly roadmaps, prep you for meetings with past decisions and open questions, track people/companies/topics via live notes, record voice memos that update the graph, and more. All data is stored as plain Markdown in an Obsidian-compatible vault, giving you full control. Integrates with Gmail, Google Calendar, Fireflies, and supports custom models (local via Ollama/LM Studio or hosted). Extendable via MCP.
