Open-source, self-hosted AI teammates you actually own — bring any model and sandbox.
Core Features
- Persistent AI teammates with their own conversations, long-term memory, routines, and history
- Voice mode: speak replies, dictate, or call a bot with your own ElevenLabs, OpenAI, Cartesia, or Fish Audio key
- Shared team computers and isolated private computers with browser, terminal, file, and graphical desktop access
- Bots can delegate work to peer bots or spin up short-lived subagents
- Bring-your-own model credentials and pluggable sandbox providers (Docker, E2B, Daytona, CreateOS, Boat, Railway)
What It Can't Do
- •Rakazo is still in beta, so expect rough edges and breaking changes. You must supply your own model API keys, and model usage is billed by the provider. Basic Docker and server administration skills are required. Running docker compose down -v wipes all data permanently. For local development, Node.js 23.x and 25.x are not supported. On restricted networks, you may need to mirror the installer download as described in the docs.
Use Cases
- Run a 24/7 personal AI assistant on your own server with full data ownership
- Build a team of specialized bots that delegate tasks and automate repetitive work
- Give AI safe access to browsers, terminals, and files inside isolated sandboxes
- Self-host a Grok Bot-style agent service without vendor lock-in
Rakazo is an open-source AI agent platform for persistent teammates you actually own. Unlike Grok Bot or OpenAI Dots, which lock you into one vendor's models and cloud, Rakazo lets you bring your own model credentials and pick your sandbox backend — Docker, E2B, Daytona, CreateOS, Boat, or Railway — or run the entire stack locally. Each bot gets its own conversations, long-term memory, routines, and history, plus an isolated or shared computer with browser, terminal, file, and graphical desktop access. Bots can delegate to peer bots or short-lived subagents, talk and listen through voice mode (ElevenLabs, OpenAI, Cartesia, Fish Audio), and connect to hundreds of apps via Composio, Pipedream Connect, MCP, or OpenAPI. One self-hosted API serves the web app, Electron desktop client, and iPhone/Android apps, so your teammates stay online wherever you are. Currently in beta under the Apache-2.0 license.

In the deployment directory, run docker compose down to stop all services. To remove all data including the database, run docker compose down -v, then delete the rakazo folder. Warning: the -v flag permanently deletes all Postgres state, so back up first. Uninstall the desktop and mobile apps the usual way for your platform.
