One-click deploy Shadowsocks server for censorship circumvention.

Core Features

  • Mandatory AEAD ciphers for strong security
  • Built-in probing resistance against blocking
  • REST API for access key management
  • Optional anonymous metrics server

What It Can't Do

  • Requires command-line skills; not a ready-to-use GUI. 2. Server must have a public IP and not be blocked. 3. Though hardened, Shadowsocks traffic may still be detected by DPI.

Use Cases

  • Personal or team deployment of secure proxy for uncensored internet access
  • Anti-censorship VPN-like service

Outline Server is the core component that deploys and manages a Shadowsocks proxy service. It includes a REST API for access key management and optional anonymous metrics sharing. Built on top of outline-ss-server, it enforces mandatory AEAD ciphers, probing resistance, and variable packet sizes to evade detection. You can run it directly from the command line or use the graphical Outline Manager for easier administration. Ideal for individuals or teams needing a self-hosted, censorship-circumventing VPN-like service.
