An open-source tunnel that routes traffic through cloud-service transports with JS-scriptable extensibility.
Core Features
- Pluggable transports: route traffic via Yandex, Mail.ru and other cloud services or direct connections
- Signed JavaScript engine for writing custom transports without touching Go
- Multi-transport sessions with failover, optional AES-256-GCM encryption and zstd compression
- Clients for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS
- No-VPS mode: the exit node can run as a small PHP script on shared web hosting
What It Can't Do
- •You must run your own exit node — this is not a plug-and-play hosted service and has a learning curve. The desktop CLI must be built from source with Go; the core repo ships no prebuilt binaries. The faster L3 backend is Linux-only and requires root; Windows and macOS fall back to L4. The iOS client is available only via TestFlight beta. Comply with local laws — the author explicitly disclaims responsibility for any misuse.
Use Cases
- Network protocol and transport-layer research
- Running a self-hosted private tunnel for your phone and computer
- More resilient connectivity through multi-transport failover
OpenFlux is an open-source network stack research tool: an IPv4 TCP/UDP tunnel with pluggable transports (Yandex.Docs, Volga, Board, MAX, Cups.online, Mail.ru, or direct connections) plus a signed JavaScript engine for writing custom transports without touching Go code. It ships two exit-node backends — L3 raw SNAT/DNAT forwarding (Linux, root) and an L4 gVisor userspace proxy (any OS) — and supports multi-transport sessions with authenticated negotiation, failover, batched zstd compression, and optional AES-256-GCM encryption. Clients exist for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS (TestFlight). A unique no-VPS mode lets the exit node run as a small PHP script on shared web hosting, and a shareable openflux:// link or QR code carries a full configuration. Compared with V2Ray or sing-box, OpenFlux stands out with its cloud-service transport layer and scriptable transport engine, trading some maturity for greater extensibility. Fully non-commercial, GPL-3.0 licensed, with CI-tested releases and nightly builds.

On Windows and macOS, simply delete the app — turn off full-tunnel (TUN) mode inside the app first. On Linux, remove the compiled binary and config files. On the exit node, delete the deployed files, PHP scripts, and any system services created.
