LoopX is a local-first control plane and research workbench for AI agents. Unlike frameworks like CrewAI, it works with the runtimes you already use (Codex, Claude Code) and keeps goals, decisions and evidence durable across sessions.

v2.1.1 · 85 MB

A local-first control plane that keeps AI agents working on long goals across sessions, with verifiable results.

Core Features

  • Durable state across sessions: goals, requirements, decisions and evidence survive restarts and tool switches
  • Runtime-neutral: works alongside Codex, Claude Code, DeepSeek Harness and others instead of locking you into one framework
  • Verifiable progress: every deliverable carries supporting/refuting evidence, costs and typed receipts
  • Personal Agent Workspace: a local dashboard/PWA to see what needs you, what is running and what is scheduled
  • Peer-agent coordination: explicit ownership via claims, leases and task boundaries

What It Can't Do

  • •LoopX is not an autonomous production controller: dangerous permissions, publishing and production writes always require human approval. It is not an agent framework—you still need an existing runtime like Codex or Claude Code to do the actual work. The environment requirements are strict (Python 3.11+, Node.js 22.22.3+). Desktop builds are previews: the macOS app is ad-hoc signed (not notarized), and the Windows installer has no Authenticode certificate, so SmartScreen may warn you; stable-channel auto-updates and rollback are unavailable. The concept model (goals, claims, leases, gates) has a learning curve and is overkill for one-shot tasks.

Use Cases

  • Multi-day engineering, research, benchmark or experiment objectives
  • Issue and PR loops that must preserve scope, evidence and review state
  • Managing personal projects, schedules and decisions in one local workspace
  • Peer-agent teams where ownership, handoff and accountability matter

Detailed Introduction

LoopX is a local-first control plane and research workbench for AI agents and teams, designed to keep long-running work coherent across sessions, restarts and runtimes. While most agent frameworks (CrewAI, LangGraph, AutoGen) focus on orchestrating a single run, LoopX focuses on durable control state: goals, accepted requirements, decisions, supporting and refuting evidence, costs and next actions persist across days and across tools like Codex, Claude Code and DeepSeek Harness. Its standout advantages are runtime neutrality (it governs state rather than executing turns, so you keep the harness you already use) and verifiable progress (every turn is a governed state transition with explicit ownership, claims, leases and typed receipts, not just a timer loop). The Personal Agent Workspace dashboard gives one local-first place to see what needs you, steer live turns, review protected changes through typed previews, and inspect deliverables with their evidence. Human authorization still governs dangerous actions. Requires Python 3.11+ and Node.js 22.22.3+; desktop previews available for macOS and Windows.

Uninstall Info

Run python3 -m pip uninstall loopx to remove the CLI. Your local workspace data (goal state, evidence, history) is stored separately on your machine and is not removed automatically—delete the LoopX local data directory manually if you want a full cleanup. Desktop preview builds can be removed like any regular app via your OS's standard uninstall flow.

No Extra Dependencies

Ready to use after download. No additional runtime required.
