Drag-and-drop your own Linktree clone – fully self-hosted, private, and themeable.

Core Features

  • Drag-and-drop installation – no terminal or coding required
  • Self-hosted for full data privacy and ownership
  • Built-in theme marketplace with community-submitted themes
  • Multi-user registration and admin panel for easy management
  • Custom CSS and URL alias support for advanced users

What It Can't Do

  • Requires a PHP web server (Apache/Nginx) and MySQL/PostgreSQL. Ensure PHP >= 7.4 with extensions mysqli, gd, zip enabled. If you encounter a blank page, check file permissions and PHP error logs. The project is actively maintained, but major updates may break custom themes – always backup before upgrading.

Use Cases

  • Creators and influencers linking to all their content in one place
  • Businesses managing multiple product or campaign links
  • Schools, nonprofits, or communities creating internal directories
  • Anyone seeking a free, private alternative to Linktree

Detailed Introduction

LinkStack is an open-source link sharing platform that lets you create a personalized page with all your important links, just like Linktree. Unlike commercial services, you can host it on your own server or web hosting, giving you full control over your data and privacy. It features an intuitive drag-and-drop interface, so you don't need any technical skills to set it up. Users can register and create their own link pages, making it great for businesses, creators, and communities. The platform also supports custom themes that can be uploaded or downloaded from the public theme directory. With a clean admin panel, managing multiple users is effortless. LinkStack is completely free, respects your privacy, and never sells user data.

Troubleshooting & FAQ (2)

informational
Is the project dead? Why no commits since December 2024?

The project is not dead. Maintainers are working on version 5 in spare time due to jobs/family. Updates are slow, and they need documentation volunteers. No active fork is recommended.

GitHub Issue #941
informational
Does LinkStack support two-factor authentication (2FA) for login?

Native TOTP-based 2FA is not yet available in the current stable version (v4). The feature is prototyped for v5 and may be added to v4 later, though no specific timeline is committed. As an immediate workaround, you can enforce login via a third-party OAuth provider (e.g., Google, GitHub) that has 2FA enabled. LinkStack already supports passwordless authentication through these providers, effectively securing your account with a second factor. Configure the desired provider in the admin panel under authentication settings.
