Automate your comic book library with one-click download, rename, and move—like Sonarr for comics.

Core Features

  • Search Monitored: download entire volumes with one click
  • Manual Search: choose exact releases to download
  • Import existing comic libraries
  • Cross-platform (Windows, macOS, Linux, Docker)
  • Supports DDL, Pixeldrain, Mega, and many more services

What It Can't Do

  • Requires working indexers/trackers; some may be blocked in certain regions. Ensure you have legal rights to downloaded comics. Initial configuration of naming and downloaders can be tricky.

Use Cases

  • Manage and automate your personal digital comic collection
  • Standardize naming and organization of scattered comic downloads

Detailed Introduction

Kapowarr is a self-hosted comic book library manager that integrates seamlessly into the *arr ecosystem. It allows you to add volumes, map them to folders, and automatically handle the entire workflow: search for issues (including TPBs, one-shots, hardcovers), download via DDL, PixelDrain, Mega, and other services, then rename, move, or extract archives according to your custom naming rules. The familiar *arr UI makes it easy to monitor and manage your collection. Features include one-click search-monitored downloads, manual search for selective downloads, importing existing libraries, cross-platform support (Windows, macOS, Linux, Docker), and built-in extraction with content renaming. It is featured on Noted and Respectlytics, with active community support on Discord and Reddit.

Troubleshooting & FAQ (1)

Troubleshooting
How to fix blocklisted URLs due to 429 rate limit errors from GetComics?

Avoid triggering bulk searches rapidly, as this can cause 429 errors that are incorrectly blocklisted. As workaround, perform searches manually or with delays between requests. The permanent fix (distinguishing HTTP 429 from actual failures and skipping blocklist for rate-limit errors) is being tracked in this issue.
