You ran a few prompts. Now what?\n\n- **The official docs describe features — but don't show you how to combine them.** You know slash commands exist, but not how to chain them with hooks, memory, and subagents into a workflow that actually saves hours.\n- **There's no clear learning path.** Should you learn MCP before hooks? Skills before subagents? You end up skimming everything and mastering nothing.\n- **Examples are too basic.** A "hello world" slash command doesn't help you build a production code review pipeline that uses memory, delegates to specialized agents, and runs security scans automatically.\n\nYou're leaving 90% of Claude Code's power on the table — and you don't know what you don't know.\n\n---\n\n## How Claude How To Fixes This\n\nThis isn't another feature reference.

TroubleshootingHow to fix Ruff checking zero files when running `ruff check scripts/`?
In scripts/pyproject.toml, Ruff resolves include patterns relative to the directory containing the config file, so scripts/**/*.py becomes scripts/scripts/**/*.py. Change it to:
[tool.ruff]
include = ["**/*.py"]
Alternatively, move the Ruff configuration to the root-level `pyproject.toml`, where `scripts/**/*.py` is correct. Also review nearby `include`/`exclude` settings for the same relative-path mistake.
Verify with:bashruff check scripts/ --show-files
``
It should list the Python files under
scripts/`. Fix or explicitly ignore any findings reported by the newly enabled check.informationalWhat is the correct precedence order for Claude Code settings.json files?
The correct precedence from highest to lowest is: **Managed/Policy → CLI arguments → Local → Project → User**. For settings files, this means: .claude/settings.local.json (local) overrides .claude/settings.json (project), which overrides ~/.claude/settings.json (user). Managed policy/MDM settings have the highest priority, followed by CLI flags such as --model or --settings. Documentation showing project → local → policy → user or user → project → local is incorrect and was fixed to policy → local → project → user.
TroubleshootingHow do I fix Lesson 06 Q9 when no answer for the number of Claude Code hook events is correct?
Claude Code v2.1.251 added PreModelSwitch and PostModelSwitch, increasing the total number of hook events from 31 to 33. In v2.1.257, the correct answer is therefore **33**, not 16, 25, 31, or 40. Update the quiz options and answer key to include 33, add the two new events to every hook-event list, replace stale 31 references (and the remaining 25 references in the Vietnamese and Chinese docs), and recompute the derived totals in each language's CATALOG.md. Until the tutorial is updated, the quiz question is impossible to answer correctly from the provided choices.
TroubleshootingHow do I fix the Lesson 08 Checkpoints quiz marking current rewind and checkpoint settings as incorrect?
Update .claude/skills/lesson-quiz/references/question-bank.md for Lesson 08. For Q3, change the answer from 5 to **6 rewind options** and add **“Summarize up to here”** alongside “Summarize from here”; this matches README v2.1.216+. For Q8, replace autoCheckpoint: false with fileCheckpointingEnabled: false; the setting defaults to true and can also be disabled with the environment variable CLAUDE_CODE_DISABLE_FILE_CHECKPOINTING, documented since v2.1.119. Until the quiz is corrected, answer according to the current 08-checkpoints/README.md even if the stale quiz marks it wrong.
TroubleshootingHow many hook events does Claude Code support in total?
As of Claude Code v2.1.257, the correct total is **31 hook event types**. The answer **25** was correct for older content around v2.1.245 and is outdated. If the lesson quiz rejects 31, update/sync the quiz and Hooks README to the v2.1.257 documentation; the fix is included in the docs sync PR that closes this issue. Verify your installed version with claude --version.
