FAQ (5)
TroubleshootingWhy are Agent Usage Distribution, Agent Activity Timeline, and Workflow Efficiency Score empty in claude-code-templates analytics?
In claude-code-templates v1.28.16, the analytics code only recognizes tool calls named Task, but Claude Code JSONL logs record agent tool calls as Agent. Update the filter to accept both names. In AgentAnalyzer.js (around line 72), chats-mobile.js (around line 606), and teams-dashboard.js (around lines 306, 360, and 467), replace:
content.name === 'Task'
with:
(content.name === 'Task' || content.name === 'Agent')
Apply this to every agent-related comparison in those files, then rerun:
npx claude-code-templates@latest --analytics
If running through npx, use a patched local install or patch-package until a release containing the fix is published.
TroubleshootingHow do I fix the unsupported `git diff --since` error in `check_staleness.py`?
git diff does not support --since; only commands such as git log do. In session-handoff/scripts/check_staleness.py, remove --since from the git diff call and collect changed files from three separate sources, then merge and deduplicate them:
def _git_lines(*args):
return subprocess.check_output(["git", *args], text=True).splitlines()
tracked_changes = set(_git_lines("diff", "--name-only", "HEAD"))
untracked_files = set(_git_lines("ls-files", "--others", "--exclude-standard"))
committed_changes = set(
_git_lines("log", f"--since={iso_time}", "--name-only", "--pretty=format:")
)
changed_files = sorted(tracked_changes | untracked_files | committed_changes)
git diff --name-only HEAD covers staged and unstaged tracked working-tree changes, git ls-files --others --exclude-standard adds untracked files, and git log --since=<timestamp> covers commits made after the handoff timestamp.
TroubleshootingHow do I fix duplicate or mismatched skill names for the -official document processing skills?
Edit each -official skill's SKILL.md and set the name field to match its directory name. Update pptx-official/SKILL.md to name: pptx-official, pdf-official/SKILL.md to name: pdf-official, xlsx-official/SKILL.md to name: xlsx-official, and docx-official/SKILL.md to name: docx-official. Previously, these variants incorrectly reused the non-official names (pptx, pdf, xlsx, and docx), causing duplicate skill names.
TroubleshootingHow can I prevent Claude Code or other AI agents from using `git commit --no-verify` to bypass git hooks?
Use block-no-verify v1.1.2 as a Claude Code PreToolUse hook for Bash commands. It intercepts commands containing --no-verify and blocks them before git hooks can be bypassed.
Add this hook configuration:
{
"hooks": {
"PreToolUse": [
{
"matcher": "Bash",
"hooks": [
{
"type": "command",
"command": "npx block-no-verify@1.1.2"
}
]
}
]
}
}
This protects pre-commit, commit-msg, pre-push, linters, tests, and other quality gates from being silently skipped by automated agents.
TroubleshootingHow to fix 'FATAL ERROR: Reached heap limit Allocation failed - JavaScript heap out of memory' in Claude Code Analytics Dashboard?
Upgrade to Claude Code Analytics Dashboard v1.8.2 or later. This release fixes the memory leak caused by repeated data refreshes and file-watcher updates; memory usage is stable after the update. Restart the dashboard after upgrading.
As a temporary workaround, increase Node.js heap size before starting it:
NODE_OPTIONS=--max-old-space-size=2048 <your-start-command>
On Windows PowerShell:
$env:NODE_OPTIONS="--max-old-space-size=2048"
<your-start-command>
Raising the heap only delays the crash on affected versions; updating to v1.8.2 is the actual fix.
